New Year Number 22

Thursday was my twenty second birthday. I love that it is in February because it’s right after New Year, and I take it more like a second-chance-New-Year to get the New Year started (the resolutions and stuff).

I had a nice birthday, it didn’t start out that well because of my dad. He woke me up so I could go with him to work (I’m his assistant and secretary at the moment), I know it is still a job and I shouldn’t be such a wimp but I really didn’t want to go. This is my last birthday in my hometown and… I honestly didn’t want to spend it at the Ranch in the middle of nowhere without people or internet. Luckily, my mom came to the rescue and told him that I was staying because it was my birthday. This made me so darn happy.

I spent the rest of the day just lounging around, I still ran some errands but at least I wasn’t alone counting livestock on a field. My day was normal and sweet, I really liked it. Not very eventful, I didn’t get a lot of congrats apart from the people that I love and keep close, but that was what made it feel so peaceful. The next day we held a celebration with our family and friends, and that was it! I couldn’t have asked for anything better than what the day was.

2016 sucked. But I’m really looking forward for this year. I just got accepted to a University in Mexico City called Centro. And things are really looking up for me. Last year… was one of those years, that your face got punched frequently as fuck. I told my boyfriend that he (and of course, other people and events) were what kept my year from becoming a total flabby ass.

I want to keep my resolutions simple:

  1. Detoxing, keeping my mind and body clean
  2. Yoga
  3. This blog
  4. Love and God
  5. Art
  6. Reading and educating myself
  7. Habits, out with the bad, in with the good
  8. Service, and community
  9. Friends and my dogs

They look simple enough. Hopefully, I will work hard and make sure they are.
